I wish my first website still existed somewhere, just for comedy value. Or maybe as an exhibit in my own history of web design. At the time I was far too easily impressed by an overuse of tartan, animated GIFs, and a working visitor counter. It was quite something.
My mother was impressed too, who felt like her bed and breakfast business was ready to take on the world. At the time it was still quite unusual to have a website, especially up on the Isle of Lewis. I don't think colour tv arrived there until 1974 after all.
The seed was sown though - I loved that web design allowed me to be creative, help solve people's problems, and make a real difference to someone's business, all at the same time.

What started as a hobby grew over time, until I was doing a few sites for some friends. So when I was made redundant I knew exactly what I wanted to do - invest in a new Apple Mac, order some Adobe software and set about turning my little hobby into my little business.
I still love meeting new people, hearing their ideas, and helping to turn them into great looking websites. Sites that will allow them to share their story with their customers, boost their reputation online, and help them to grow their business.
So if you are ready to take your business online, or reinvigorate an existing website, I would love to hear from you. Starting with an informal chat about your plans, and finishing with bringing your ideas to life.
